Location

Alderbed Cottages is located in Rocky Harbour, in the heart of Gros Morne National Park, finding us is easy.

Whether you travel by car on the Marine Atlantic Ferry from North Sydney to Port Aux Basque or North Sydney to Argentia, fly into St John’s, Gander, Stephenville or straight to Deer Lake and rent a vehicle.

After you arrive on the island, make your way to Deer Lake and take Route 430 (The Viking Trail) north entering Gros Morne National Park near Wiltondale.

You may purchase your park pass here if you wish or get some visitor information. From here the scenery through the mountains and along the bay to Rocky Harbour is breath-taking (be mindful of moose and wildlife). The trip from Deer Lake to Rocky Harbour is approximately 75 km, but can take anywhere from 45 minutes to a couple hours depending your need to stop and admire the views.
